Strike Rate vs. Average

While Batting Average measures consistency (how many runs before getting out), Strike Rate measures aggression and speed (how quickly runs are scored). In T20 cricket, Strike Rate is often considered more valuable than Average.

SR = (Total Runs ÷ Total Balls) × 100

Benchmarks (What is Good?)

T20 Cricket

  • 130+: Good standard.
  • 150+: Excellent / Match-winner.
  • 100 or below: Considered slow.

ODI Cricket

  • 85+: Good standard.
  • 100+: Excellent.
  • Running between wickets is key here.
